Johnston County Sheriff’s Office
Johnston County Sheriff’s Office maintains Johnston County Jail inmate records. The sheriff’s department provides an inmate roster on its website with information about inmates in the county jail. The website’s information is regularly updated; however, the information may not be accurate or complete due to the rapid changes in the county jail. The inmate roster is alphabetized, and one must navigate the list to find a particular inmate. You can also sort the list by first name, arrest date, or last name. When you click on a specific inmate, the information displayed about the inmate includes
- Mugshot
- Name
- Age
- Race
- Gender
- Booking date
- Charge
- Arrest date.
Alternatively, one can access the inmate information by contacting the sheriff’s office directly at (919) 989-5010.
North Carolina Department of Public Safety
The North Carolina Department of Public Safety (NC DPS) is responsible for inmate records in the Johnston Correctional Institution. To access information on inmates in the facility, use the NC DPS website. The website has a search tool labeled offender locator that provides up-to-date information on inmates, probationers, and parolees dating back to 1972. Use the inmate’s name or ID number to run the search. The offender locator also allows you to use other details, such as the inmate’s gender, race, date of birth, and ethnic group, to help narrow the search.
The NC department of public safety website also has another search tool known as the NC SAVAN (North Carolina Statewide Automated Victim Assistance and Notification). The NC SAVAN provides information on the inmate’s custody status through phone calls, texts, emails, or TTY.
